Barangay Papallasen is one of the fourteen barangays of Burgos, Pangasinan known with its agricultural products. It is where goods qualities of Bamboos are located and being transport to different parts of Luzon. It’s composed of four (4) Sitios, namely: Sitio Quibuar, Sitio Fortuna, Centro and Sitio Cabicalan. It has One Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty Five (1,935) total populations. With one Elementary School and has four (4) Religious Organizations, namely: Roman Catholic Chapel, United Methodist Church, Baptist Church, and Assembly of God Ministries.

It has also Natural Spring which named Quibuar, the main source of irrigation used by farmers for their Agricultural Lands. The spring and creeks are abundant of fishes and snails family.

 

Earlier times say that Barangay Papallasen got its name from ilokano term “Palyas” it means terminal drained of canals. This method was used by farmers to catch fish. Barangay Papallasen has a stream that supplies about 100 hectares of farm land abundant of mudfish and tilapia.

Barangay Papallasen is an Agriculture Center of the Municipality of Burgos a self-reliant united community inhabited by hard working, hospitality and God-fearing people living in a clean and peaceful environment under a transparent, honest and responsive leadership.

Promote peace and Order. Maintain harmony among Barangay residents to ensure the safety and convenience of the people improved the quality of life of our people.

Barangay Papallasen Feast days/Annual Fiesta, celebrates Annual Religious during the month of March here in our Barangay.

During our festive month here in our community as a traditional way of giving thanks to our Patron San Antonio De Padua, we’re having occasions accompanied by all Barangay community through mass, games and dance.

Barangay Papallasen is located at the Southern portion of town proper of Burgos, Panagsinan approximately three(3) kilometers away. It has a total land area of 111,675.00 square meters. Its population is One Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety Nine  (1,799 ). Most of the people engaged in farming.

 

Barangay Papallasen comprised mainly of four (4) grouped villages namely : BARANGAY CENTRO, SITIO CABICALAN, SITIO FORTUNA AND SITIO QUIBUAR

Papallasen is known with their bountiful rice plant which holds on granny hands of farmers, most of people living here are farmers. During planting season after harvesting, folks go to the forest to cut-off bamboos as an extra source of income. Others goes outside town or even province to work as carpenters or laborers.
