Barangay “POGORUAC” is part of Barangay Concordia, Burgos, Pangasinan which is now a neighboring separate Barangay. It is located South Western of Poblacion, Burgos, Pangasinan. It has total land area of 1,381.65 hectares and it has a distance of 16.7 kilometers from Poblacion passing through Sapa Pequena, Sapa Grande and Concordia for about an hour ride by means of land transportation.
The name of the barangay came from the observations of early settlers in this place. They said that every morning they found quail (pugo) laying eggs and crows (uwak) eating large number of earthworms that’s why it’s called POGORUAC.
